According to Cointelegraph, the cryptocurrency political action committee Fairshake invested $3.6 million to support candidates in the primaries held in Alaska, Florida, and Wyoming, with 4 out of 5 candidates winning. Democratic candidate Lois Frankel, Republican candidates Sydney Gruters and Harriet Hageman won their primaries. In Florida's 24th District, Democrat Oliver Gilbert defeated his opponent, despite Fairshake-affiliated PAC spending over $2 million on negative ads. Gilbert accused U.S. President Trump's billionaire tech allies of interfering in the primaries through crypto funding. As of January, Fairshake PAC held $193 million in funds and has invested over $130 million in the 2024 election cycle to support pro-crypto candidates.
