SK Telecom splits AI data center business to establish SK Horizon, plans to introduce $2.2 billion in funding

According to Yonhap News Agency, SK Telecom has spun off its artificial intelligence data center business into a new entity called "SK Horizon" and plans to introduce $2.2 billion in external funding. The spin off transaction is expected to be completed on February 1, 2027, and the KKR, IMM Investment, and Stonebridge Capital consortium may participate in the investment.
