Starkware completes anti quantum transaction test on Bitcoin mainnet
According to Bitcoin.com News, Starkware stated that on August 26th, a transaction using researcher Avihu Levy's quantum resistant Bitcoin (QSB) scheme was mined on the Bitcoin mainnet without the need for a soft fork, hard fork, or modification of consensus rules. The transaction consumed 10000 RMB and was processed through MARA Foundation's Slipstream service, with a cost of approximately $150 to $200. QSB adopts anti quantum spending conditions based on hash functions and reduces the risk of quantum attacks through signature mining, but users still need to actively migrate funds. Starkware CEO Eli Ben Sasson supports the launch of protocol level solutions through software forks.
