Anatoly Popov, Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee of Sberbank, stated that the expected size of compliant cryptocurrency trading in Russia in the first year is 4 trillion rubles, approximately 46.43 billion US dollars, and will increase to 7.5 trillion rubles, approximately 87.06 billion US dollars, by 2029. About 20% of the trading volume in the first year, ranging from 3.5 trillion to 4 trillion rubles, will be completed through the exchange. The relevant regulations will come into effect on September 1st. Non qualified investors can purchase up to 300000 rubles of cryptocurrency assets per year, while qualified investors are limited to 3 million rubles.
