Peach Bitcoin will suspend KYC free custody mode starting from September 2026

--

According to Bitcoin News on the X platform, Peach Bitcoin will temporarily suspend its custody process and transition to an unmanaged mode starting from September 1, 2026, due to regulatory scrutiny in Switzerland. In temporary mode, only users who have completed KYC, obtained manual whitelist authorization, or meet transaction record requirements can create sell orders. Sellers who have not completed KYC can only participate in one transaction at a time. The buy function is open to all users, with a single transaction limit of 500 Swiss francs and a maximum premium of 6%. Peach Bitcoin will no longer be signed in custody and will continue to charge a 2% fee. Peach Bitcoin founder @ plofofstep stated that the company will communicate with regulatory authorities and comply with regulatory decisions if the appeal fails.
