The mastermind behind the theft of $240 million BTC case, Malone Lam, will attend a plea hearing

Malone Lam is suspected of stealing over 4100 BTC worth over $240 million through social engineering attacks. Malone Lam once spent over $569000 a night at a nightclub in Los Angeles, and purchased $2 million worth of watches and multiple luxury cars. The investigation shows that the suspect committed fraud by impersonating Google and Gemini staff. Currently, 18 defendants have been charged, including suspects who exposed their IP while hiding $30 million in assets, and another suspect who has been seized with $37 million in stolen assets. Malone Lam is expected to attend the plea agreement hearing this Tuesday.
