A16z: RWA perpetual contract on chain transactions accounted for 86% of the total in August 2022

According to a16z crypto analysis, the total transaction volume of RWA perpetual contracts in August 2026 was $117.3 billion, of which the on chain platform transaction volume was about $101 billion, accounting for 86%, and the centralized exchange transaction volume was about $16 billion, a year-on-year increase of 44 times. At the end of August, the open interest contracts were $4.8 billion, an increase of about 30 times compared to $161 million in July 2025. In the transaction structure, stocks account for 48%, commodities account for 28%, and indices account for 18%.
