Market operator Kalshi is currently in talks for a $1 billion financing with a target valuation of $40 billion. Sequoia Capital and Wellington Management plan to lead the investment, while Tiger Global and Dragoneer Investment Group will participate in the negotiations. Kalshi raised $300 million at a valuation of $5 billion in October 2025 and $1 billion at a valuation of $22 billion in May 2026. On September 25th, the US Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled to allow Ohio and Tennessee to regulate Kalshi's sports contracts under gambling laws.
