Zilliqa has announced its transition to a regulated Ethereum Layer 2 platform, known as the Zilliqa Institutional Layer. ZIL tokens will remain in place, and holders do not need to take any action at this time. The proposal involves seven adjustments on the Ethereum mainnet and Base, including enabling CCTP functionality on both chains, configuring cross-chain USDC transfer limits, setting up a Base-side permission management mechanism, and integrating the USDC vault.
