MSCI revised the eligibility rules for constituent stocks of the Global Investable Market Index on October 15th, tightening the definition of "non operating companies" and bringing Bitcoin treasury companies under stricter scrutiny. The Strategy led by Michael Sellers has not yet been removed from the MSCI index. MSCI will combine the company's operational and financial characteristics to determine whether it belongs to a "non operating" company, and companies holding digital assets may still have real business activities; The existing constituent stocks are subject to a buffer mechanism, and the relevant consequences will be clarified in the November index review.
