[U.S. 30-Year Treasury Yield Rises to 4.86%, Hits Highest Since September] The yield on the U.S. 30-year Treasury briefly rose 6 basis points to 4.86%, marking its highest level since September 5. The 2-year Treasury yield was mostly flat on Friday. Chicago Fed President Austan Goolsbee and Kansas City Fed President Esther George stated that concerns over inflation are the main reason for opposing rate cuts. Strategist Edward Harrison pointed out that, given traders expect two 25-basis-point rate cuts by the end of 2026, Goolsbee's remarks indicate downside risks for U.S. Treasuries.
