Heggese: The United States and Iran are expected to sign a memorandum of understanding on June 14th

US Defense Secretary Hagibis stated that the US and Iran are expected to sign a memorandum of understanding on June 14th to restart shipping in the Strait of Hormuz and lift the US blockade on Iranian ports. Hegesse stated that both sides have 60 days after signing to negotiate long-term peace arrangements and terms for ending Iran's nuclear program. Hegesse stated that the agreement is based on performance and will not release funds to Iran until it fulfills its commitments.
