For the first time, Ukraine has incorporated seized assets into national management and seized over 8.3 million USDT
According to Decrypt, the Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office announced in a Telegram statement that for the first time, Ukraine has placed over 8.3 million seized USDT under state management and transferred them to wallets controlled by the National Asset Recovery and Management Agency. These USDTs come from a suspected member of an international hacker group that launched cyber attacks on targets in Europe and the United States, causing over $100 million in losses. Four suspects have been detained and over $11.1 million in assets have been seized, including property, vehicles, $1 million in cash, and cryptocurrency. Ukraine will legalize virtual assets in 2022 and is advancing tax and regulatory laws to match EU standards.
