FTX Recovery Trust will launch its fifth round of creditor distribution on July 31st, with a scale of approximately $900 million
FTX Recovery Trust and FTX announced that they will initiate the fifth round of creditor distributions on July 31, distributing approximately $900 million to both convenience and non convenience claimants in the restructuring plan. Eligible creditors can receive funds through BitGo, Kraken, or Payoneer accounts within 1 to 3 business days. According to the FTX restructuring plan, convenience claims below $50000 will receive a 120% payout, while other claims will receive a distribution of 103% to 105%. Since FTX filed for bankruptcy in November 2022, FTX Recovery Trust has distributed approximately $10 billion. Former FTX CEO Bankman Fried was sentenced to 25 years in prison in 2024, and his conviction and sentencing appeal were dismissed last month.
