African financial company issues $431 million digital bond, marking the first time an African institution has issued such a bond
According to Ledger Insights, Africa Finance Corporation has issued 350 million Swiss francs (approximately 431 million US dollars) in digital bonds through the Swiss Stock Exchange's (SIX) SDK platform. This is the first time that an African institution has issued digital bonds through a central securities depository (CSD) and exchange. The five-year bond has a coupon rate of 1.4925%, arranged by Commerzbank AG and Deutsche Bank.
