[Michael Egorov: FATF Regulatory Pressure Will Drive DeFi to Enhance Security and Decentralization] According to The Block, Curve founder Michael Egorov stated that FATF's regulatory pressure on DeFi will push protocols to remove privileged access, upgrade risk management, and limit the ability to intervene in user funds. Last month, FATF released a report proposing the use of control tests to determine when anti-money laundering standards should apply to DeFi. Currently, out of 143 reporting jurisdictions, 132 have yet to apply Recommendation 15 to eligible DeFi arrangements, with only 2 jurisdictions having licensed or registered DeFi arrangements.
