Solana mainnet activation slot time reduced to 350 milliseconds, effective on the 1020th epoch

Solana developer Brennan Watt announced on X platform that the Solana mainnet has activated slot time reduction, with the target reduced from 400 milliseconds to 350 milliseconds, which will take effect on the 1020th Epoch. Brennan Watt pointed out that some SDK constants have not been updated yet, and the transition period has an impact on applications that rely on SDK constants to match the reality of the main network. It is recommended that developers manually determine whether the function is enabled based on the Epoch boundary when it takes effect. Brennan Watt explained that the long-term plan is to put the parameters on chain for client queries, and currently there is a transitional period to be endured in order to launch the reduction feature as soon as possible.
