Summer Mersinger: Clarity Act should be passed as soon as possible to oppose the modification of key clauses

Summer Mersinger, CEO of the American Blockchain Association, stated that less than four weeks before the US Senate votes on September 15th to advance the Clarity Act debate, reopening the provisions that have been negotiated for months will lead to legislative failure. Mersinger stated that the proposed amendments by the American Bankers Association are significant policy changes that will expand the scope of regulatory interpretation and change the applicability of the GENIUS Act. Mersinger pointed out that bank deposits in the United States have grown for three consecutive quarters since the passage of the GENIUS Act, with a cumulative increase of over $800 billion. Mersinger calls on the US Senate not to reopen negotiations and to pass the Clarity Act directly.
