BNB Chain enables Pasteur hard fork to enhance cross chain bridge security and block capacity

BNB Chain has implemented a Pasteur hard fork on the BNB Smart Chain mainnet, which involves cross chain bridge verification, validator authorization, staking, and governance security. The upgrade also increases block capacity while maintaining a block time of 450 milliseconds. This upgrade includes BEP-682, BEP-695, and BEP-675, which respectively involve duplicate validator entries, validator key rotation and penalty governance, and block submission processes. In the internal testing environment QANet, the new process has increased the throughput from 1237 transactions per second to 2324 transactions per second. The relevant data comes from controlled testing and is not the measurement results of the main network.
