According to Digital Asset, South Korean cryptocurrency exchange Bithumb won the first instance lawsuit for the wrongful release of Bitcoin, and the court ruled that users should return approximately 194 million Korean won (approximately 145000 US dollars). In February of this year, Bithumb issued 620000 bitcoins due to incorrect activity rewards. Subsequently, Bithumb launched a recycling program and reported in March that 99% of the mistakenly issued bitcoins had been recycled. This is the first judgment in the four lawsuits filed against users who have not returned their accounts. The basis for the court's judgment and whether the defendant will appeal have not been disclosed yet.
