Zuckerberg opposes the establishment of a national artificial intelligence regulatory agency

According to Business Insider, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg expressed opposition to the plan to establish a national artificial intelligence regulatory agency during a phone call with US President Trump last month. On the week of August 17th, Trump called Zuckerberg to discuss the "FINRA style" AI regulatory agency plan proposed by Google DeepMind CEO Demis Hassabis. Zuckerberg believes that the agency should embody the Trump administration's AI regulatory philosophy. The White House stated that the Trump administration aims to strike a balance between promoting AI innovation and ensuring security, and the plan is still under consideration.
