The US midterm elections are approaching, and Trump's approval rating is affecting Republican congressional seats

Less than two months before the US midterm elections on November 3, a Reuters/Ipsos poll showed that Trump's net disapproval rating was nearly twice as high as the same period in 2018, with the Republican Party maintaining a slight advantage in the House of Representatives with 218 seats to 214 seats. The Democratic Party needs to secure 4 seats in the Senate to gain a majority, but only 9 out of 35 Senate elections are fiercely contested. The new version of the House of Representatives electoral map may help the Republican Party gain up to 10 seats, and Trump's super political action committee has $400 million in funding reserves.
