Better Markets: CFTC is not suitable for regulating retail cryptocurrency trading, SEC has more investor protection advantages

Better Markets stated that the CFTC is not the appropriate institution to regulate retail cryptocurrency trading, and the investor protection under its proposed cryptocurrency regulatory framework is weaker than the SEC regulatory model. The CFTC proposes to solicit public opinions on the regulatory framework for some retail cryptocurrency trading, involving margin, leverage, or financing based cryptocurrency asset trading, and considers including eligible cryptocurrency trading platforms within the scope of CFTC regulation.
