Synopsys plans to collaborate with Chinese AI labs to comply with US export control requirements

Synopsys is seeking to collaborate with a large Chinese language model developer to use AI driven design tools to help Chinese companies accelerate chip development, and has stated that it will comply with the US government's control requirements for artificial intelligence and semiconductor exports. Synopsys expects revenue to reach $11.15 billion by fiscal year 2027.
