The three major indexes of the US stock market collectively closed down, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average falling 0.6%, the Nasdaq falling 0.65%, and the S&P 500 index falling 0.58%. The storage sector fell, with the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index falling over 2%, SK Hynix falling over 5%, Micron Technology falling nearly 5%, and Western Digital and SanDisk falling over 4%. Copper concept stocks fell, with McMoran copper gold falling more than 6% and Southern Copper falling more than 7%. Apple rose 3.56%.
